Kelsie Nobriga – Ballet

Kelsie Nobriga is from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and began dancing at the age of five at the Pacific School of Ballet. There she learned ballet, tap (with Sharon Sandor), lyrical, and jazz. She later trained with Melissa Allen Bowman at Danse Conservatory, and Charles Maple at the Maple Conservatory of Dance. Kelsie was a semifinalist in the Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards in 2010 for ballet. After dancing in summer programs at Pacific Northwest Ballet on full scholarship, she danced with PNB in their professional division in 2010. During her time there she performed in PNB’s Nutcracker, Cinderella, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Giselle. She also performed the lead role in an original work choreographed by PNB principal dancer Seth Orza. In 2011, Kelsie joined Oregon Ballet Theatre as an Apprentice, where she had the opportunity to dance roles such as Columbine Doll, Snow, Flowers, and Marzipan in The Nutcracker, Small Swans and the 3rd Act Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, as well as perform in their productions of Carmen and Giselle. She joined Colorado ballet in 2013, and will be going back to Oregon Ballet Theatre in August as a corps de ballet member for their 2014/15 season.
